West Indies announce Gus Logie as interim head coach, Evril Betty Lewis as team manager of Women’s cricket team

West Indies Cricket Board has announced the interim coach and new team manager of their women’s team. Former West Indian cricketer Gus Logie has been appointed as the interim coach of the team while Evril Betty Lewis has been appointed as the new team manager for women’s and girls’ cricket.

Gus Logie has been working with the Women’s team since 2017 when he was appointed as an assistant coach of the side. He takes over from Henderson Springer while the board starts the hunt for a new coach. Henderson will continue assisting the board with coaching programs.

Evril Betty Lewis succeeds Anne Browne-John who was the team manager of the Women’s team on an interim basis. Anne will now work as the chief selector for the side.

Logie’s first assignment as head coach will be the home series against India Women. West Indies Women will play a 3 match ODI series and 5 match T20I series as part of India Women’s tour of West Indies which starts on 1st November.
