Sarah Glenn closes in on the top T20I bowler rank in the latest ICC update

The South African women’s team led by skipper Laura Wolvaardt is hosting England for an all-format series from 24th November 2024 to 18th December 2024. The Heather Knight-led side completed a thrashing whitewash in the T20I series. The ODI series will commence on 4th December 2024.

ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings

The West Indian skipper Hayley Matthews has inched closer to the top spot as she climbs up one spot to the 3rd position (740 points). The Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has also climbed up one spot to equal the 4th position (736 points) alongside the South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt. Suzie Bates from New Zealand, the Australian skipper Alyssa Healy, and the Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu have climbed up one spot each to the 6th (680 points), 7th (678 points), and 8th position (670 points) respectively.

Nat Sciver-Brunt from England was the 2nd highest run-scorer of the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa with 126 runs in a couple of innings with the bat, including back-to-back half-centuries (59 off 54 balls, and 67* off 43 balls). As a result of her impressive performances, she has earned a massive rise as she has climbed up 11 spots to the 91st position (309 points).

ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings

The young 25-year-old leg-spinner from England, Sarah Glenn was the 2nd highest wicket-taker of the T20I series against South Africa, with five wickets to her name in a couple of innings with the ball for her side. As a result of her impressive performances, she has inched closer to the top spot by climbing up three spots to equal the 2nd position (745 points) alongside Sadia Iqbal from Pakistan. Off-spinner Charlie Dean was the leading wicket-taker of the T20I series against South Africa with 6 wickets in three innings with the ball for her side. As a result of her impressive performances, she has earned a significant rise as she climbs up six spots to equal the 9th position (703 points) alongside Nashra Sundhu from Pakistan.

England pacer Lauren Bell picked up a couple of wickets in a couple of innings with the ball for her side in the recently concluded T20I series.
