Fifties from Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana powered India to a strong total of 172. Sri Lanka, chasing 173, struggled throughout the innings, losing wickets at regular intervals. India’s disciplined bowling attack saw each bowler take a wicket, with pacer Renuka Singh leading the charge by dismantling Sri Lanka’s top order, finishing with impressive figures of 2 for 16 in her four overs, while Asha Sobhana and Arundhati Reddy returned identical figures of 3/19 (4). Sri Lanka were bundled out for 90, handing India a commanding 82-run victory, which propelled them to second place on the points table.
