USA Cricket names Senior and Junior Women’s national training groups

The Women’s National Selection Panel established the National Training Groups (NTG) in consultation with the head coach Hilton Moreeng. They have also named Senior and Junior (Under-19) National Training Groups to prepare and be ready to compete in the upcoming ICC and other global events.

“These training groups would serve our mission to build competitive and adaptable teams for major events over the next few years like the U19 World Cup, future ICC tournaments, and the Olympics. We have identified talent with long-term potential who will benefit from gaining early experience in competitive environments while working towards our goal of creating well-rounded squads capable of sustained success on the global state,” Women’s Selection Panel Chair, Amer Afzaluddin briefed about the purpose of forming these training groups.

The United States of America (USA) will be participating in the upcoming 2nd edition of the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in 2025. It will be a 16-team tournament that will get underway on 18th January and conclude on 2nd February 2025 in Malaysia. The national team selection for the upcoming Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup will take place following a training camp in November, later this year.
