The Trinbago Knight Riders are gearing up for the 2024 Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) by retaining and signing key players to their side. With matches scheduled at Trinidad’s Brian Lara Cricket Academy from August 21 to 29, the stage is set for a thrilling showcase of cricketing talent and intense competition.

In WCPL, Deandra Dottin has featured in 6 matches accumulating 207 runs, and has claimed 2 wickets so far. Dottin internationally has played 127 T20I matches, amassing a total of 2697 runs, and has claimed 62 wickets with 5/5 being her best bowling figure.

Knight Riders’ overseas signings are, Meg Lanning, Jess Jonassen, Shikha Pandey, and Jemimah Rodrigues – a sort of Delhi Capitals reunion happening here. Lanning, the Aussie legend has featured in 89 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) matches, amassing a total of 3,009 runs with an impressive average of 40.66 with a strike rate of 120.17, with 101 being her highest score. While Australian all-rounder Jonassen has played in 135 WBBL matches, accumulating 2,033 runs and has claimed 162 wickets.

Indian batting sensation Jemimah Rodrigues and experienced pacer Shikha Pandey add firepower to their batting and bowling lineups. Rodrigues has already established herself on the international stage, having played in 95 T20I matches and scoring a total of 1997 runs with a high score of 76. Additionally, in the WPL, she has impressed in her 18 matches, scoring 361 runs. Pandey, the right-arm medium pacer, featured in 62 T20I matches and claimed 43 wickets with the best figures of 3/14. She has also scored a total of 208 runs. In the WPL, she has participated in 18 matches, scoring 62 runs, and claiming 19 wickets.
