Under the captaincy of Stafanie Taylor, the Warriors aim to surpass their runner-up finish in the 2023 edition, leveraging her strong leadership and versatile skills. The team has reinforced its foundation with experienced players such as South African pacer Shabnim Ismail and other West Indians such as Karishma Ramharack, Shemaine Campbelle, Natasha McClean, and Shakera Selman, ensuring a solid core for the upcoming season.

Last season, Shabnim Ismail showcased her resilience for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final against the Barbados Royals, where despite the team’s loss, she stood out by capturing an impressive 4 wickets. Her T20I career is illustrious, spanning 113 matches with 123 wickets to her name, and her best bowling figures are 5/12.

The Warriors have bolstered their squad by signing Erin Burns, Chloe Tryon, and England’s wicketkeeper batter Lauren Winfield-Hill. Burns, an Australian batter, had a successful stint with the Barbados Royals in 2023, earning two Player of the Match awards in the group stage and achieving figures of 3/19 against Trinbago Knight Riders. She also scored an unbeaten 53 runs against the Guyana. Tryon, the South African all-rounder, impressed in the 2022 WCPL where she finished as the third-highest run-scorer with 64 runs. In T20I cricket, Tryon has played 99 matches, scoring 1145 runs and taking 35 wickets with best figures of 4/15. Her dual prowess in batting and bowling makes her a valuable addition to the Warriors’ lineup.
