The Indian Women’s team led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur were last involved in an away series against Bangladesh. India whitewashed the home side in a five-match (5-0) T20I series.

In their next assignment, the Women in Blue will host South Africa led by skipper Laura Wolvaardt for an all-format series that includes a three-match ODI series followed by a one-off Test match and then a three-match T20I series. The ODI series will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The One-off Test match and the three-match T20I series will be played at the MA. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, in Chennai.

Harmanpreet Kaur ©, Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Dayalan Hemalatha, Uma Chetry (WK), Richa Ghosh (WK), Sajana Sajeevan (T20I), Deepti Sharma, Shreyanka Patil (T20Is and ODIs), Radha Yadav (T20Is and ODIs), Amanjot Kaur (T20I), Asha Sobhana (T20Is and ODIs), Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh Thakur, Arundhati Reddy, Saika Ishaque (ODIs, and Tests), Priya Punia (ODIs and Tests), Shubha Satheesh (Test), Sneh Rana (Test), Rajeshwari Gayakwad (Test), and Meghna Singh (Test), Shabnam Shakil.

Note: Saika Ishaque has been added to the T20I squad as a standby player.

A total of five players will be making their comebacks namely, Arundhati Reddy (T20I) [Last played on 14th July 2021 against England], Priya Punia (ODI) [Last played on 19th July 2023 against Bangladesh], Radha Yadav (ODIs) [Last played on 14th March 2021 against South Africa], Meghna Singh (Test) [Last Played 30th September 2021-3rd October 2021 against Australia], and Dayalan Hemalatha (ODIs). [Last played on 24th September 2022 against England].
