NSW Signs Sienna Eve, Elsa Hunter, Lauren Kua, and Kate Pelle for WNCL 2024 Season

New South Wales (NSW) have signed a quartet of youngsters Sienna Eve, Elsa Hunter, Lauren Kua and Kate Pelle for the upcoming WNCL season.

New South Wales had a below-par campaign in the 2023/24 edition of the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL). They finished 5th on the points table with 26 points from 12 games, including six wins and six defeats in their campaign. However, they made a significant comeback towards the back end of the season by winning five of their last six matches last season.

Wicket-keeper batter Tahlia Wilson was the leading run scorer for New South Wales (NSW) with 377 runs at a strike rate of 76.93 and an average of 31.41 in 12 innings. New South Wales would be looking to get back to their best in the upcoming edition of the WNCL. They have signed a group of youngsters namely, Sienna Eve, Elsa Hunter, Lauren Kua, and Kate Pelle for the upcoming edition of the WNCL.

Amongst the group of signings, the 19-year-old batter Elsa Hunter plays for Malaysia at the International level. She has scored 668 runs for her side at a strike rate of 89.30 and an average of 23.03 in 38 innings. Her tally of runs for Malaysia includes three half-centuries for her side at the international level. Lauren Kua was also born in Malaysia.

Jade Allen, Maitlan Brown, Erin Burns, Stella Campbelle, Lauren Cheatle, Sarah Coyte, Hannah Darlington, Sienna Eve, Ashleigh Gardner, Alyssa Healy, Ebony Hoskin, Elsa Hunter, Sammy-Jo Johnson, Lauren Kua, Anika Learoyd, Phoebe Litchfield, Claire Moore, Kate Pelle, and Tahlia Wilson.

A total of three players namely, Georgia Adams, Saskia Horley, and Isa Malgioglio have been released from the squad for the upcoming edition of the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL).
