The three ODIs are set to take place from April 18th to April 23rd. These ODIs hold significance as they form a part of the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship (2022/23 to 2025), which serves as a determinant for qualifiers to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025.

After the ODIs, the T20I series is scheduled from April 26th to May 3rd. This series presents a valuable opportunity for both teams to refine their skills and tactics in preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, slated for September-October in Bangladesh.

Qiana Joseph and Chedean Nation, who delivered notable performances in the 2024 domestic season, have been recalled to the team after missing out on the last tour to Australia in 2023. Additionally, Kate Wilmott earned her maiden call-up to the senior team, showcasing impressive performances with her right-arm medium pace in the recently concluded Women’s Super50 Cup and T20 Blaze tournaments.

Selector Ann Browne-John remains hopeful of the players performing well on the tour of Pakistan, drawing confidence from their successful performances in the recent domestic season. She said, “The return of experienced player Chedean Nation will strengthen the batting, and 19-year-old Fast Bowler Kate Wilmott will be making her debut.

“The players have just completed the regional tournament where some of the experienced players had encouraging performances, and it is hoped this will continue into the Pakistan series.”
