Netherlands vs Scotland Women

Netherlands Women were up against Scotland Women in the third match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular series. Scotland Women won the rain-hit match by five runs under D/L method. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Netherlands reached 86/6 by the end of 16th over when the rain started pouring in. Loosing too much time in rains, umpires decided to end the first innings there and revised the target for the opponents to 37 runs from seven overs. Scotland Women comfortably reached the target in the allotted time without losing any wicket. Netherland’s opener Robine Rijke’s 39 off 35 balls went in vain. Scotland’s Katherine Fraser took three wickets and conceded just 17 runs in her four overs. 

Thailand Women vs Ireland Women

Thailand Women faced Ireland Women in the other match of the day. With the delayed game due to rain, the game was reduced to 10 overs per side. On winning the toss, Ireland Women elected to bowl first. Thai Women made 54/4 in allotted 10 overs. Chasing 55 runs, Ireland Women lost seven wickets in reaching 50 runs and lost the match by four runs in the end. Thailand’s Nattaya Boochatham made a valuable contribution of 15 runs with the bat and shined with the ball by taking three wickets in two overs.
