In the third and final ODI between India and Bangladesh, Harmanpreet smashed the stumps with her bat after being given out by the umpire. She also made some gestures towards the umpires while walking back to the pavilion ( Level 2 offense according to ICC). Later on, Harmanpreet criticized the umpires in the post-match presentation saying that the umpiring has been ‘pathetic’ in the series.

Due to this, Kaur was fined 75% (50% for showing frustration by smashing the stumps and 25% for public criticism of match officials) of the total match fees. Along with it she also received a total of 4 demerit points for both the offences.

The Indian captain has admitted the offences and agreed to the sanctions proposed by ICC.
