India won the second ODI against Bangladesh quite comprehensively courtesy of Jemimah’s all-round performance. With this win, India managed to level the series, with one more game to go.
Put into bat by Bangladesh, India lost their first wicket in the 4th over itself. India was quite struggling to score runs as they managed to score just 67 runs in the first 20 overs. Jemimah walked into bat with the score being just 68 with 21 overs being done. She played a sublime knock of 86 runs from just 78 balls to help India reach a total of 228 runs at the end of 50 overs.
Bangladesh lost their wickets in quite a furry as they were reduced to just 38 for 3. Fargana Hoque and Ritu Moni steadied the ship for Bangladesh, but they both got dismissed in a span of just 5 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues was the star with the ball as well, as she took 4 wickets from 3 overs while conceding just 3 runs. She completely destroyed Bangladesh’s middle and lower middle order. For her outstanding performance, Jemimah won the Player of the Match award.

An awkward moment occurred during the post-match presentation when the presenter mistakenly called Harmanpreet Kaur as Jemimah Rodrigues. Harmanpreet Kaur was quite unhappy with it, thus she instantly corrected him. The presenter was also quite embarrassed as soon as he realised what just happened.
