Women’s Exhibition matches announced by PCB between Amazons and SuperWomen

The Pakistan Cricket Board today confirmed the dates and locations of three Women’s League exhibition matches to be held at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on March 8, 10, and 11. The two competing teams are Super Women and Amazons.

The women’s matches will begin at 1400 PKT and be played prior to the men’s fixtures. Quetta Gladiators will play Multan Sultans on March 11 while Peshawar Zalmi will play Quetta Gladiators on March 8 and 10, respectively. Tickets for three men’s HBL PSL games will therefore be valid for the women’s match, with the stands opening three hours prior to the start of play on these match days.

In addition, the PCB will honor Women’s Day during Wednesday’s T20 game as part of its social business duty. In collaboration with Pink Ribbon Pakistan, the second exhibition game on Friday will be performed to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Tania Mallick, head of women’s cricket, expressed her delight and excitement about the Women’s League exhibition matches. “Our players are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities and perform at their highest level during these exhibition games. Playing in a league with foreign players gives local athletes the chance to assess their talent level and inspires them to get better at their sport. The three exhibition games will significantly increase the power of our female cricket players while also giving them a platform and other opportunities.” Tania additionally exhorted the supporters to attend the stadium in support of women’s cricket.

On Saturday, the third and final exhibition game will be played to emphasize women’s empowerment via education. The match officials for the three matches have also been confirmed by the PCB in the interim. All three games will have a referee, Mohammad Anees.

On-field umpire Shozab Raza will replace Saleema Imtiaz for the opening T20 game on March 8. The third umpire will be Tariq Rasheed, and the fourth umpire will be Humaira Farah. Shozab Raza and Humaira Farah will serve as the on-field umpires for the second T20 game, while Tariq Rasheed and Saleema Imtiaz will serve as the third and fourth umpires. Tariq Rasheed and Saleema Imtiaz will serve as the on-field umpires for the third and final T20 game. The third and fourth umpire assignments will be handled by Shozab Raza and Humaira Farah.
