The upcoming, 4th T20 of the 5-match series between the U-19 women’s teams of India and New Zealand will be played on the 4th of December at the MCA Ground in BKC, Mumbai and the game is scheduled for a 1 PM IST start.
In the 3rd T20, India U-19 batting first had starts from openers, Soumya Tiwari (16) and Shweta Sehrawat (20) provide a platform for the middle-order to bank on and the pair of G Trisha and Sonia Mehdiya did just that with respective scores of 32 and 38. Late runs from Titas Sadhu (18) pushed India to finish on 145/8. New Zealand U19 in reply had Olivia Gain top score with a fine knock of 40(35), but a no-show from the top order saw the team lose the plot early. Flora Devonshire (18), skipper, Prue Catton (11) and Ashtuti Kumar (17*) looked to do the repair work, but it just was a little much which resulted in India winning the game by 30 runs and sealing the series 3-0.

Players to watch :
The 17-year-old opening batter has looked in fine touch throughout the domestic season and in the series as well. She, in the opener, scored a good 52* and followed her half-century with scores of 31 and 16 in the following couple of T20 outings.
The 18-year-old in the couple of games she’s played in the series so far has registered figures of 0/14 and 2/19. With the bat, in the 3rd T20, she contributed with a momentum-gaining, 7-ball-16* cameo that helped India bag yet another comforting win.
The New Zealand opener has played a couple of games in the series so far and she, on a personal level, has done exceeding well in improving her 1 from the opener to a fine 40 that’d come off 35 balls in the 3rd T20 game.
The 19-year-old, in the series, with the ball, has made brief contributions with scores of 7*, 2 and 5 in the 3 T20 games respectively, but with the ball, in the couple games, she featured in, looked on song having registered figures of 2/28 and 4/24.
It will be the 4th match of the bilateral series at the venue and though not a lot, but with the wicket starting to slightly lose its firmness, there are wickets in store for bowlers to bag and there also are runs as rewards for good cricketing strokes.
With no chance of rain on the radar, we are set for a full game of cricket and with the game scheduled to be played in the early noon hours, the temperature will hover around the early 30s during the match hours.
