I certainly feel a little bit older and more experienced now – says Ellyse Perry after hitting century in the sole Ashes Test

12 years of experience in international cricket has helped Australia’s all-rounder Ellyse Perry to be wiser than ever before. Perry had now refined to near-perfection as she takes more efficient approach to her practice and performance. As a result of which, the dashing player is on her way to make and break innumerable records.

“I certainly feel a little bit older and more experienced now and with that, a bit more laidback with the way I approach (cricket),” Perry said. “I guess I’m a little bit older and dare I say wiser, so I know what works. It’s hard not to enjoy this period, (it’s the) the most amazing period of women’s cricket and women’s sport we’ve ever had. To be a part of that, I just want to make the most of it and enjoy it for what it is”, she added.

Speaking about Perry’s phenomenal stay on the ground during the Ashes Test, Australia’s captain Meg Lanning told that Perry loves to play the longest format of the game and fully enjoys the few opportunities that she gets. That is why she is able to get best out of her whenever she is on-field, playing in the baggy-greens.
