After a long wait, BCCI has finally announced the central contracts for Indian Women’s Cricket Team members for the period from October 2020 to September 2021.
Some of the key changes made in this year’s contracts are:
1. The list last season, 22 cricketers were contracted and this time it’s only 19.
2. Shafali Verma and Punam Raut have moved to Grade 2
3. Richa Ghosh has earned a Grade 3 contract
4. Veda Krishnamurthy, Ekta Bisht, Dayalan Hemlatha, Anuja Patil have been dropped.
The categories of contracts are divided into 3 segments: Grade A players get INR 50 Lakhs, Grade B players earn 30 Lakhs and Grade C gets 10 Lakhs.
