In the world of women’s international cricket, the England tour of New Zealand was the solitary series that was played in February. Thus, the three players nominated from either of the sides.

About ICC Women’s Player of the Month February Nominees:

Tammy Beaumont: The England opening bat struck three consecutive half-centuries against New Zealand last month. Her scores of 71, 72 not out, and 88 not out helped to provide a strong start to England’s batting. Her total of 231 runs played a pivotal role in England’s 2-1 win over the White Ferns.

Brooke Halliday: The 25-year old southpaw made her international debut last month. Playing a three-match ODI series against England, Halliday struck back-to-back half-centuries in the first two games, scoring a total of 110 (50 & 60) runs. She also went on to become just the fourth woman to score half-centuries in each of her first two ODI matches. Apart from the bat, she contributed with the ball as well as she scalped two wickets in three matches.

The three nominees were shortlisted based on on-field performances and overall achievements during the period of that month (the first to the last day of each calendar month).
