Rakshitha Krishnappa, captain of Sheen Sports, won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening pair of Jemimah Rodrigues (7) and Vrinda Dinesh (13) failed to lay a solid foundation for the batters to follow. Coming in at number three, wicket-keeper bat Prathyoosha Kumar scored 20 off 29 but failed to capitalize on the start. With the top order failing to click, the onus of the batting lay on the shoulders of southpaw Deepti Sharma. Sharma came into bat in the 11th over and was there till the end of the innings. She scored an unbeaten 48 off 38 including five boundaries and two sixes. Sheen Sports managed to put up 114-5 in 20 overs. For Ameya Sports, Pranavi Chandra, Anuja Patil, and Pooja Kumari picked up one wicket apiece. There were two run-outs in Sheen Sports’ batting innings.

In reply, Ameya Sports, who were sitting at the bottom of the table, made a mess of the chase as they were reduced to a paltry 87-9 in 20 overs, losing the match by 27 runs. Ameya Sports’ lost their opener Thirush Kamini for a duck in the second over of the innings. It was as if the floodgates opened and wickets started to fall at regular intervals. Apart from Nikki Prasad (32), Anuja Patil (17), and Pooja Kumari (10), none of the other batters managed to reach a double-digit score. Sheen Sports’ right-arm medium pacer Niranjana Nagarajan wreaked havoc as she struck with 3-5 in her four overs. Nagarajan bowled one of her best spells and gave away just 1.25 runs per over.
