The English side is celebrating the birth anniversary of one of their top order batters. Danielle Wyatt is enjoying her 29th Birthday amidst a global lockdown. She was born to Steve and Amy Wyatt in 1991. It was Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire that saw the first cries of the lady batter.
Not a alot of people outside the English side know that she is fondly called ‘waggy‘. Post her debut in 2010 against India; she has been one of the mainstays of the English one-day international side. Alongside her batting wonders, she has been a useful offspinner too. She was a part of the 2017 English squad which got the world cup.
It is interesting to note that she has worked on her off spinning capabilities. This was from 2013 to 2016. Danielle was working her best to the national side. One of the striking points of her career was her departure from the side before the 2013 world cup. Nonetheless, she has been handy for the English side in ICC events. She was picked for the women’s T20 World Cup. Notably, her batting in the shortest format has seen runs flow with a satisfying average of 20.
Wishing a very happy birthday to England’s Danielle Wyatt 🎂
