Squadron Leader Shikha Pandey, who played a crucial role in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 for team India was felicitated by Air Marshal MGS Menon. In the opening match against Australia, she sent back Beth Mooney to the stands, stumped Annabel Sutherland and took the catch to make Ash Gardner out. Against New Zealand, she took 2 wickets in 2nd and 20th over. Overall Pandey took a total of 7 wickets in the tournament.

She scared the batting side and left a mark with her performance. In appreciation of her efforts to help the Indian team reach the finals of the world cup, Air Marshal MGS Menon felicitated her. Indian squad reached their maiden World Cup final though, they had a humiliating defeat against defending champions and host team Australia. Australia played brilliantly and had a grand victory of 184 runs.
Although Shikha Pandey went for a lot of runs in the Finals of T20 World Cup, her contributions in the league stages are something that cannot be ignored.
