Anju Jain has been appointed as the coach of Bangladesh Women’s team

Former India international Anju Jain has been appointed as the coach of Bangladesh Women’s team. Anju Jain has played eight Tests and 65 One-Day Internationals between 1993 and 2005, will take over from David Capel once the team returns from South Africa, where they are currently playing a limited-overs series. Capel had joined the team in October 2016.

Jain is Bangladesh Cricket Board’s latest recruit from India after Deivika Palshikaar and Anuja Dalvi, who joined the women’s team as their assistant coach and physiotherapist respectively last month. Jain is the second Indian after Mamatha Maben, another former captain, to be the head coach of the Bangladesh women’s team.
