Players to watch out:

Grace Harris

The 30-year-old batting all-rounder has featured for the senior Australian side in 10 One-Day Internationals and a total of 46 times. Last summer, Grace played 3 WNCL games, scoring 149 runs and taking 5 wickets. She returned this summer late last week with a calculated 53-ball 63 and registered bowling figures of 0/24 (4). Grace will have one more opportunity tomorrow before the WNCL season breaks for the Women’s Big Bash League (W-BBL).

Grace Parsons

The 20-year-old leg-spinner debuted for the senior side in the WNCL in 2022, taking 4/33 from her 7 overs, and finished her 6-match season with as many wickets. In the following season, Grace finished as the second-leading wicket-taker for her side with 15 wickets to her name. Riding high on confidence, Grace has produced figures of 0/32 (7), 2/18 (4.5), and 2/13 (4) in 3 games thus far this WNCL season.

Rhiann O’Donnell

The 25-year-old all-rounder, on her return for Victoria, failed to make a mark, scoring only 52 runs from 7 games with a best of 15. However, Rhiann staged a mini comeback in the following season, adding 163 runs to her tally in 8 innings, with her best being 44. This season, Rhiann has managed a couple of starts and will look to build on them, taking confidence from her bowling figures of 0/20 (6) and 2/33 (7).

Milly Illingworth

The 18-year-old pacer represented Australia in the inaugural Under-19 World Cup earlier this year. In 6 outings, she maintained an economy rate of 5.06 and picked up 4 wickets, with her best performance being 2/12. Shortly after that, Milly made her presence felt in the WNCL by taking a 4-wicket haul (4/41), but had a couple of wicketless outings to end the season. Milly has continued to impress this summer with figures of 0/18 (3) and 2/37 (6).

Pitch:

The center wicket at the Peter Burge Oval, Brisbane, offers favorable conditions for bowlers, particularly pacers, leading to an average score in the 170s. Batters face challenges on this wicket, but can convert their starts once they find their rhythm.
