The West Indian women’s team led by skipper Hayley Matthews clinched an edge-of-the-seat thriller in the 2nd ODI by two wickets to clinch the three-match ODI series. Stafanie Taylor was awarded the Player of the Match for her match-winning performance (73 off 90 balls) with the bat. She played a crucial role in helping her side chase down a total that turned out to be a tricky one towards the end.

Bismah Mahroof joined Muneeba Ali at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 45-run partnership for the 3rd wicket before Karishma Ramharack picked up the wicket of Bismah Mahroof to provide the 3rd breakthrough for the West Indies. Skipper Nida Dar joined Muneeba Ali at the crease and the duo stitched a 170-run partnership for the 4th wicket before skipper Hayley Matthews picked up the big wicket of the opposition skipper Nida Dar to provide the 4th breakthrough for her side.

Muneeba Ali soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 5th breakthrough for the West Indies. Fatima Sana joined Aliya Riaz at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 41-run partnership for the 6th wicket before Stafanie Taylor picked up the wicket of Fatima Sana to provide the 6th breakthrough for her side. Pakistan were eventually bundled out for 190, as they lost their last four wickets for just 54 runs. They fell 88 runs short of the target.

Muneeba Ali (38 off 58 balls), Aliya Riaz (36 off 41 balls), Tuba Hassan (23 off 24 balls), and Fatima Sana (23 off 44 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Pakistan. Skipper Hayley Matthews (8-0-26-2), Chinelle Henry (6-1-18-1), Stafanie Taylor (6-0-29-2), and Karishma Ramharack (8-1-30-1) were the top performers with the ball for the West Indies.

She played a pivotal role in helping her side clinch a comprehensive 88-run victory in the 3rd ODI. The West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews was also awarded the Player of the Series as she ended up as the leading run-scorer of the series with 325 runs and also the joint-highest wicket-taker of the series alongside the Pakistan skipper Nida Dar with six wickets to her name in the series.
