In the ongoing third edition of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), the Trinbago Knight Riders faced the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the fourth match of the tournament. The Trinbago Knight Riders were put into bat first and put up a total of 128 against the Warriors, following Deandra Dottin’s fifty. Chasing a target of 129, the Warriors lost both their openers inside the powerplay, but the match went to a super over thanks to Erin Burns’ performance with the bat. The Knight Riders added 19 runs on the board in the super over, while the Guyana Amazon Warriors could only manage 5 runs, losing both their batters in the super over and failing to chase the target of 20.

1) Deandra Dottin 53 (TKR)
It was the first fifty for the Knight Riders skipper in the ongoing edition of the WCPL. The right-handed batter scored 53 while opening the innings for her side. She was involved in a 66-run opening stand alongside Harshitha Samarawickrama. Deandra smashed six boundaries and three sixes throughout her innings, finishing as the top run-scorer for her side with 53 off 38 balls. She also played a cameo of 13 off four balls in the super over for the Knight Riders. Her innings played a crucial role in the Knight Riders’ first victory of the season, earning her the Player of the Match award.
2) Jess Jonassen 2/5 – Super Over (TKR)
Jonassen was handed the responsibility for defending 20 runs in the super over against the Warriors. Though she went wicketless earlier, she conceded only 15 runs in her four overs with an impressive economy rate of 3.75. The left-arm orthodox bowler gave away only five runs in the super over, claiming the wicket of Erin Burns, while Chloe Tryon was run out, guiding the Knight Riders to their maiden victory of the season.
3) Erin Burns 1/27 & 61 (GAW)
Erin Burns continued her sublime form in the ongoing edition of the WCPL. Earlier, with the ball, Burns provided a crucial breakthrough for her side, dismissing Deandra Dottin for 53 and finishing with figures of 1/27 (3). Later, with the bat, Burns came in when the Warriors were struggling at 25/2. Her resilient knock of 61 off 50 kept the Warriors in the hunt while chasing 129 on a slow surface. She was involved in a 77-run stand for the third wicket with Shemaine Campbelle. Burns was run out on the last ball of the innings when the Warriors needed 2 runs to win, which resulted in the match going into a super over, where she was handed a golden duck.
4) Shikha Pandey 25 (TKR)
Shikha Pandey scored crucial 25 runs lower down the order for the Knight Riders. She came into bat when the Knight Riders were 76/4. Shikha scored 25 off 24 balls, including two boundaries and one six, which helped her side set a fighting total of 128 against the Warriors. Later, with the ball, she was given the responsibility of bowling the twentieth over when the Warriors needed 11 runs off the last six balls. Shikha conceded only 10 runs, with the match concluding in a super over.
