Players to watch out:
Deandra Dottin
The 33-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, has amassed 2,697 runs from 125 outings and taken 62 wickets from 67 bowling innings. In the WCPL, she has accumulated 235 runs from 7 outings at a strike rate of 110.04 and has also taken 2 wickets from 5 innings. In her first outing this season, she scored a fine 28 and returned figures of 0/12. It is hoped she capitalizes on this form as she is set to return to international cricket.
Shikha Pandey
The 35-year-old pacer has scalped 43 wickets from 56 T20I innings, including a best of 3/14, while maintaining an economy rate of 6.49, and has also contributed with 208 runs from 28 innings. Shikha’s last T20I appearance dates back to early 2023; however, she has since taken 19 wickets in 18 T20s, maintaining an economy rate of 6.89. Her figures from her WCPL debut read 30 and 0/26, and she will look to find her way back among the wickets.
Stafanie Taylor
The 33-year-old all-rounder has racked up 3,338 runs at an average of 35.13 from 118 T20I outings, while also claiming 98 wickets from 87 innings, maintaining an economy rate of 5.66. From 7 WCPL appearances, Stafanie has added 155 runs to her tally. Continuing her form, she scored a solid 38 in the curtain-raiser and can be relied upon to lead the scoring, while also contributing with a few wickets.
Nyia Latchman
The 19-year-old leg-spinner was impressive this domestic season, especially in the One Dayers. Nyia made her WCPL debut in the 2024 season opener and impressed straightaway by taking the prized wicket of Rashada Williams for 2, finishing with figures of 1/18 (3.5). She has displayed good form this domestic season and has carried the same into the WCPL, and hopefully, she will finish off on a similar high.

The bowling-friendly conditions at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy result in low-scoring matches. Bowlers, especially spinners, have a significant impact on the game as batters face difficulties in scoring runs, reflected in the average score of 116 runs.
