Batting first, Sydney Sixers posted a challenging score of 161-3 in 20 overs, thanks to opening bat Alyssa Healy’s scintillating 94 off 57 balls. The wicket-keeper bat plundered a dozen boundaries and two sixes in her entertaining knock. Her opening partner Ellyse Perry scored 31 runs off 39 balls and the duo put together 101 runs for the first wicket in 12.4 overs. For Perth Scorchers, right arm Taneale Peschel was the most successful bowler as she picked up 2-34 in her four overs. She was the lone wicket-taker for her team.
2nd innings Perth Scorchers 117-9 in 20 overs
In reply, Perth Scorchers managed to score only 117-9 in 20 overs, losing the match by 44 runs. The left hand opening bat Beth Mooney top scored with 30 runs off 29 balls, including one boundary. Chloe Piparo was the other major contributor with the bat, who scored run a ball 29, hitting two boundaries. For Sydney Sixers, it was the right arm off spinner Nicole Bolton, who wrecked havoc scalping 3-11 in her two overs. Lauen Cheatle and Radha Yadav struck with two wickets apiece, while Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner accounted for one dismissal each.
