Women’s Big Bash League is around the corner and franchises are looking to tighten their squads. Grace and Laura have been signed by Heats for the coming season. The popular sister act will continue in the Rebel WBBL season 2020 as Laura and Grace Harris have signed new deals with Heat.
The sisters are hard-hitting batters and have added to the entertainment on the field. They are enjoyable with the mics on the field. Apart from Jess Jonassen and Delissa Kimmince, these sisters are an addition to the Brisbane side which includes players from other countries as well. It is interesting to note that Laura Harris has all been in news for her wedding with Kimmince.
It can be seen from the uploads that Grace was her bridesmaid and witness. We have reported that it was Laura’s winning run in the fourth season of the Women’s Big Bash League that Kimmince proposed her. Laura repeated her feat twice when she got her team home in the finals against Adelaide Strikers.
The coach of Brisbane Heat said that “It goes without saying that everyone is very pleased for Laura and Delissa and as a group, we all wish them the very best for the future”.
She added that “They are back training this week, so you have to applaud their dedication”. She is backing both the professionals to reach new heights in the season. It is interesting to note that Grace holds records for the fastest century in the WBBL. She smashed 101 unbeaten from just 42 deliveries against the Melbourne Stars at the Gabba in WBBL season 4.
In a total of five seasons, the explosive all-rounder has scored two tons with a strike rate of 137.4. She has 1113 runs and 44 wickets under her name. Laura too got 179 runs in the previous season with a blasting strike rate of 157.01.
The coach for the side said that “We’ve all seen that Grace can be devastating on her day with her batting, and of course she is a very handy bowler for us”. On Laura, she observed a betterment as the player goes ahead.
The side for Heats looks like this Jess Jonassen (c) (Aus), Maddy Green (NZ), Amelia Kerr (NZ), Delissa Kimmince (Aus), Grace Harris, Laura Harris. The reigning champions will look to outperform others and grab the title for the third time.
