We witnessed an exciting contest throughout the inaugural edition of the tournament. Uttarakhand became the 3rd state after Bengal (Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League) and Delhi (Women’s Delhi Premier League) to launch a franchise league for women.

A total of three teams namely, Nanital SG Pipers, Pithoragarh Hurricanes, and Mussoorie Thunders participated in the inaugural edition of the tournament. The Inaugural edition of the tournament took place from 18 to 21st September 2024.

Pithoragarh Hurricanes journey in tournament:

Pithoragarh Hurricanes led by skipper Neelam Bisht had a disappointing or rather slightly unfortunate campaign in the inaugural edition of the tournament, unfortunately, for the fact that their opening game of the tournament against Nanital SG Pipers was washed out courtesy of persistent rain. They also ended up on the losing side against the Mussoorie Thunders by 8 wickets in the 3rd match of the tournament. The loss eventually proved to be the knockout punch for them in the inaugural edition.

Mussoorie Thunders journey in the tournament:

Mussoorie Thunders led by skipper Mansi Joshi had a decent campaign in the inaugural edition of the tournament. They lost their first game against Nanital SG Pipers led by skipper Ekta Bisht. However, they managed to bounce back with a comprehensive 8-wicket victory against Pithoragarh Hurricanes in the 3rd match of the tournament. Courtesy of that victory they booked their place to the final of the inaugural edition of the tournament against the Nanital SG Pipers. They were crowned as the champions of the Inaugural edition courtesy of a three-wicket victory in the final against the Ekta Bisht-led side, Nanital SG Pipers.
