Scotland and Sri Lanka share points, while India continues to dominate with a clinical performance against Bangladesh to top Group A.
Australia, led by skipper Lucy Hamilton, defeated the West Indies, led by skipper Samara Ramnath, in the first game of Group 1 and the third match of the Super Six stage of the tournament. Scotland, led by skipper Niamh Muir, faced Sri Lanka, led by skipper Manudi Nanayakkara, in the second game of the group and the fifth match of the Super Six stage. Unfortunately, persistent rain washed out the game without a ball being bowled, resulting in both teams sharing a point each.

Bangladesh, led by skipper Sumaiya Akter, faced India, led by skipper Niki Prasad, in the third game of the group and the sixth match of the ongoing 2nd edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Super Six stage in Malaysia. It was business as usual for the Indian bowlers after skipper Niki Prasad won the toss and opted to field first. The Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 64/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
The 31-run partnership for the 6th wicket between skipper Sumaiya Akter (21 off 29 balls) and Jannatul Maoua (14 off 20 balls) was the highest of the innings for Bangladesh. They were the only Bangladeshi batters to reach double figures. Vaishnavi Sharma (4-0-15-3), Joshitha VJ (3-1-6-1), Parunika Sisodia (4-0-12-0), and Aayushi Shukla (4-0-15-0) impressed with the ball for India.
India’s top order made light work of the chase as the Women in Blue secured victory with 8 wickets in hand and 77 balls to spare. Gongadi Trisha (40 off 31 balls) was the top scorer with the bat for India, while Sanika Chalke (11* off 5 balls) and skipper Niki Prasad (5* off 2 balls) played their part in sealing the win.
