Players to watch out:

Soni Pakhrin

The 18-year-old top-order batter, in a recent U19 T20 campaign, added 119 runs at an average of 29.75 from 6 outings. Soni has had a quiet start to this campaign, departing cheaply for scores of 13 and 8, while not having bowled yet. She has domestic cricket experience and should be backed to rediscover her footing, leading the scoring again.

Riya Sharma

The 16-year-old all-rounder, in a recent U19 T20 campaign, produced 9 wickets from 6 outings, at an average of 6.22 and an economy rate of 3.36. Riya built on that impression with figures of 1/11 (4) in the series opener, and given her recent success and form, she can be counted on to lead the wickets tally, while also being handy with the bat on a few occasions.

Jannatul Maoua

The 18-year-old top-order batter, in a domestic 50-over competition earlier this year, accumulated 173 runs at an average of 21.63 from 8 innings. While Jannatul had a quiet start to this campaign, departing cheaply for 6, she followed up with a run-a-ball 45*, and though she departed for 4 in her most recent outing, she can be relied upon for the runs.

Anisa Akter Soba

The 17-year-old leg-spinner has had a highly promising campaign at the U19 Asia Cup so far, emerging as a wicket-taker for the side. Anisa had an economical start with the ball, returning figures of 0/19 (4), and followed up with effective and economical returns of 2/5 (4) and 2/19 (4). It is hoped she continues in this rewarding form.

Pitch:

The Bayuemas Oval is a low-scoring venue that typically favors bowlers, both pacers and spinners. While the 22-yard strip has a somewhat neutral character, the average score remains in the 120s, indicating that it is a challenging venue for batters.

Weather:

The partly cloudy Kuala Lumpur sky promises a complete game, as the chances of rain are minimal. The temperature is expected to hover around 32°C, with light winds and humidity at 73%.
