Southern Brave defeated the Birmingham Phoenix to win yet another win which led to the highest chase of the season so far.
Winning the toss, Brave skipper Anya Shrubsole decided to take up the chasing role. Batting first, the openers Shafali Verma and Evelyn Jones made a solid 58-run partnership before Verma lost her wicket to Right-arm leg break bowler Amanda Wellington.
Phoenix skipper played an important role in putting up the competitive score of 140. Amy Jomes made a good score of 42 off 26 balls. Katie Mack too made a quick 31 runs off 21 balls.
In reply, Brave started off their innings on fire, Danielle Wyatt made 69 runs off 40 balls and also finished off the match for Brave and Sophie Dunkley made a quick 41 off 23 balls. The Phoenix bowlers failed to stop Wyatt and her beautiful strokes.

Wyatt claimed the win for the Brave women and helped them maintain a 100% win record in The Hundred so far. They won their first two matches with the ball, restricting both Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire to 110-7.
“She is just being really calm,” England legend and Brave coach Charlotte Edwards said. “In the first game, she felt rushed. Today was a great example that you have lots of time and will catch up.”
