Players to watch out for
Smriti Mandhana (Southern Brave):
The stylish left-hand opening bat found some form in her previous outing against Welsh Fire when she smashed an unbeaten 61 off just 39 balls. The southpaw led the chase and in her blistering knock hit five boundaries and three sixes. She steered her team to a comprehensive 8-wicket win.
Stafanie Taylor (Southern Brave):
The West Indies all-rounder is the leading run-getter for Southern Brave with 62 runs in two matches, including the best of 45 not out. She has a strike rate of 121.56. Apart from her batting, she has contributed with the ball as she has picked up one wicket in two games. Though her numbers may not suggest her effectiveness with the ball, she has been a handy off-spinner for the Brave.
Amy Jones (Birmingham Phoenix):
The wicket-keeper bat, who is also the captain of the Phoenix has been the top run-scorer for her team. She has scored 64 runs in two matches, including the best of 33. She has a strike rate of 188.23. Behind the stumps, she has accounted for three dismissals, all stumpings.
Kirstie Gordon (Birmingham Phoenix):
The player of the match in her previous game against Manchester Originals, the right-arm quick scalped 3-14 in her set of 20 balls. She was the stand-out bowler for the Phoenix and played an instrumental role in helping the team defend a modest target of 115.
