Complete Squad Analysis of Northern Superchargers : The Women’s Hundred

The Northern Superchargers outfit is composed of 15 strong players, including one player each from Australia, India, Netherlands, and South Africa. The other 11 players are from England, with three internationals and eight domestic stars.

She is an all-rounder, who is a right-hand bat and right-arm leg spinner. She played for the Yorkshire Diamonds in the Women’s Cricket Super League for two years; 2016 and 2017. In November 2019 she was selected to play for the WBBL to play for Sydney Sixers. In Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, playing for Northern Diamonds, she scalped six wickets in five innings and scored 176 runs in seven innings.

Ami Campbell:

She is a left-hand bat who plays for North East Warriors and Northern Diamonds. She has previously played for Northumberland, Yorkshire, and Durham. He made her county debut in 2005. In Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, she scored 70 runs in five innings, which included her best score of 43.

Laura Kimmince:

She is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter for Queensland Fire in the WNCL and Brisbane Heat in the WBBL. She made her Queensland debut in the 2016–17 season. She has represented Brisbane Heat since the inception of the WBBL in 2015 and has played a pivotal part in the team’s win in 2018–19 and 2019–20 seasons.

Jemimah Rodrigues:

She is an Indian cricketer who has played 47 T20Is and scored 976 runs, including six half-centuries. The right-hand top-order bat has a strike rate of 111.16. She has been around with the Indian team since 2018. She is a technically sound bat and has the reputation of being busy at the crease. Apart from her classic batting, she is an excellent fielder.

Lauren Winfield-Hill:

The right-hand opening bat, who plays for England is a talented cricketer, who will be leading the side in the inaugural competition. She is a seasoned campaigner, who has been around in the international arena since 2013. She has featured in 40 T20Is for England and has scored 552 runs at a strike rate of 111.29. She has also scored three half centuries.

Laura Wolvaardt:

She is a South African international cricketer and has been around in the international circuit since 2016. The right hand opening bat has represented the Proteas in 30 T20Is and has mustered 517 runs at a strike rate of 107.26. She has also hit three half centuries in 28 innings. She also holds the record of being the 2nd youngest women cricketer to score an ODI century. She achieved this feat against Ireland when she was 17 years and 105 days old.

Alice Davidson-Richards:

She is a right-hand bat and right-arm quick who plays for Kent and South East Stars. She has also represented England in one ODI and five T20Is. She made her England debut in 2018. She continues to perform at the domestic level. In Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, playing for South East Stars, she scored 71 runs in three innings, which included her best score of 61.

Phoebe Graham:

The Yorkshire-born cricketer is a right hand bat and right arm seamer, who plays for Yorkshire, North Representative XI and Northern Diamonds. She has previously played for Nottinghamshire, Devon and Berkshire. She made her county debut in 2010 for Nottinghamshire. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, representing Northern Diamonds, the team that reached the finals, though Graham accounted for just two wickets in five innings, her new ball bowling was described as “crucial”, as she had an economy of just 3.87.

Sterre Kalis:

She is a Dutch cricketer who plays for the national cricket team as a right-hand batter and right-arm seamer. She has played for domestic teams in the Netherlands and Australia, in addition to representing Essex. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, she played for Northern Diamonds. She scored 197 runs, including three half centuries in six innings, and was the leading run-getter for her side.

Kalea Moore:

She is a right hand bat and right arm off spinner who plays for Kent and South East Stars. She made her county debut in 2018 and in 2019 she was a part of the Kent team that won the domestic championship in 2019. In her domestic career she has the highest score of 85 and best bowling figures of 5-6 against Essex in an U-17 game.

Bess Heath:

She is a wicket-keeper and a right hand bat who plays for Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds. She previously played for Derbyshire, as well as Yorkshire Diamonds in the Women’s Cricket Super League. She made her county debut in 2014 for Derbyshire against Scotland and in 2016 she registered her maiden century in county cricket. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, she appeared in seven games, scored 37 runs, and took eight catches.

Bethany Langston:

She is a right arm quick who played two T20Is (in 2013) and four ODIs (in 2016) for the England women’s cricket team. She began her cricket career with Essex in 2009, before moving to Yorkshire in 2016. She also played in the Women’s Cricket Super League for both the Loughborough Lightning and the Yorkshire Diamonds. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, she scored 93 runs in five innings and picked up 12 wickets in seven innings. She was the leading wicket-taker for her side and fourth overall.

Helen Fenby:

She is a right-hand bat and right-arm leg spinner, who captains North East Warriors (county cricket), as well as plays for Northern (Yorkshire) Diamonds (T20 cricket). She made her county debut in 2013 and was the joint leading wicket-taker for her side in 2015 and 2016, accounting for 13 wickets in each season.

She is a right-arm leg spinner who has played for Yorkshire, Yorkshire Diamonds, and Northern Diamonds. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020 playing for Northern Diamonds, she picked up 11 wickets in seven innings and was the second-highest wicket-taker for her side.

Linsey Smith:

She is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler who plays for Sussex and Northern Diamonds. She was also a part of the England team for the ICC World T20 2018. She made her T20I debut in that tournament. She has featured in nine T20Is and scalped 13 wickets. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2020, playing for Northern Diamonds, she scalped four wickets in as many innings at an economy of 3.40.

I am a former cricketer having represented Mumbai University at All India University level. I was a part of MCA probables for the U-19 and U-23 age group. I have been an avid cricket writer for the last five years. Currently I am pursuing my Ph.D from IIT Bombay.
