This will be the second match of the tournament for both the teams. While Manchester Originals lost to Trent Rockets by 43 runs in their last match, Welsh Fire suffered defeat at the hands of Birmingham Phoenix by 19 runs in their last outing. The star West Indian all-rounder, who plays for Manchester Originals was the most successful bowler for her team in her last appearance against Trent Rockets. She claimed 21/2 off 20 balls that she bowled. Apart from her bowling, she is an attacking right-handed top order batter and can tear apart any bowling attack when she is on song.

Lizelle Lee:

The right-handed opening batter from South Africa, starred with the bat for Manchester Originals as she mustered 17 runs off 13 balls, including a couple of boundaries and a six, against Trent Rockets in her last fixture. She was the top run scorer for her team.

Tammy Beaumont:

The captain of Welsh Fire top scored in her last outing against Birmingham Phoenix. The right-handed opening batter from England muscled 39 runs off 34 balls, including four boundaries and stitched a 47-run opening partnership with Hayley Matthews. She will be expected to provide a good start to her team with the bat.

Claire Nicholas:

The right arm off spinner of Welsh Fire was the pick of the bowlers in her last match against Birmingham Phoenix. She opened the bowling and scalped 26/2 in her full quota of 20 balls. She bowled well with the new ball and pitched in the right areas on a consistent basis to extract the most from the wicket.

Pitch

This will be the second match of the tournament at this venue. In the last match that was played here, a total of 195 runs were scored and 15 wickets fell in the process. With cloudy conditions and high chance of rain, the bowlers will yield the maximum from the conditions. Toss will be important as the captain winning the toss will look to bowl first.
