She was born on 8th January 2000. She is a prominent Scottish cricketer known for her role as a wicket-keeper-batter in the national team and various English teams like The Blaze, Kent, and Welsh Fire. Coming from a cricket-loving family in Edinburgh, Bryce and her sister Kathryn developed a passion for sports early on, excelling in cricket at George Watson’s College. Despite participating in other activities like playing the violin and piano, Bryce’s focus remained on cricket, eventually earning her a spot in Scotland’s U17 program at age 11.
At the domestic level, Bryce has made significant strides in English county cricket, starting with her debut for Scotland in 2015. She has showcased remarkable performances, notably in the Women’s County Championship and Twenty20 Cup, representing teams like Nottinghamshire and Kent. Her consistent contributions led to full-time contracts 3with Lightning, earning recognition as one of the top performers in regional cricket. Bryce also made her mark in The Hundred, playing for Oval Invincibles and Welsh Fire, winning the tournament with the former in 2021.
She made her International debut on 7th July 2018, in a T20I against Uganda. She has scored 1161 runs at a strike rate of 110.88 and an average of 31.37 in 48 innings. Her tally of runs includes four half-centuries so far. Her best performance with the bat for Scotland so far came on 10th September 2023 against Italy when she scored 67 runs at an impressive strike rate of 167.50.
She made her ODI debut on 17th October 2023 against Ireland. Since then, she has played five matches and scored 171 runs at a strike rate of 71.54 and an average of 34.20 in five innings. Her best performance with the bat in the ODI format for Scotland came on 14th April 2024 against the USA when she scored 84 runs at a strike rate of 68.85, playing a crucial role in helping her side clinch a comprehensive 41-run victory. She would be the frontline wicket-keeper batter in the upcoming Global Qualifiers for Scotland.
