Players to watch out:

Saum Mtae

The 21-year-old batter has amassed 662 runs in 33 T20I outings, striking at 111.63, with a best of 57, and chipped in with the ball, taking 6 wickets in 10 outings. Saum has displayed incredible form over the past few months and in similar fashion kicked off her campaign with a 38*, but in the next couple of outings departed for a duck and 4. The team will back her to stage a turnaround.

Perice Kamunya

The 21-year-old pacer, in T20Is, has picked up 53 wickets in 43 bowling outings, and she has chipped in with the bat, adding 222 runs from 26 innings. Perice is a player in form and can be counted on for the win. She hasn’t been needed much with the bat in this tournament, while with the ball, she has been effective and economical, registering figures of 2/10, 1/7, and 0/11.

Janet Mbabazi

The 27-year-old all-rounder, in 61 batting outings, has accumulated 848 runs, including the highest of 42*, and from 50 bowling innings has scalped 65 wickets, with the best being 4/12. Janet has stepped up for the side both with the bat and ball, bagging 5 wickets from 3 outings and registering scores of 32, 10, and 9*. The team will bank on her to capitalize on this form in the knockouts.

Concy Aweko

The 32-year-old off-spinner, in 67 T20I appearances, has claimed 93 wickets at an average of 9.67, an economy rate of 3.55, and registered the best of 4/6, while also being handy with the bat. With bowling figures of 1/11, 3/16, and 3/16, Concy has picked up 7 wickets in 3 outings and in her only outing with the bat has registered a score of 11*. She’ll be relied upon for the goods.

Pitch:

The 22 yards at Entebbe Cricket Oval provide a somewhat neutral playing field, but the conditions are advantageous to bowlers over batters. Pacers in particular benefit from the conditions, and a score in the 130s can be deemed a competitive one on this wicket.
