Indian One Day International captain Mithali Raj has added yet another golden feather to her cap as she has completed her 10,000 career international runs during the 3rd ODI between India and South Africa at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, Lucknow.
She is the first female cricketer from India to have achieved such a height in the game, and just the second woman cricketer in the world as she stands strong at 10,001 runs! Charlotte Edwards (10,273) from England became the first female cricketer scoring 10,000 international runs. No other player other than these two has crossed this mark!
Before the 3rd ODI against South Africa, Raj was just 35 runs away from the mark. Though the celebrations didn’t last long as she lost her wicket to Anne Bosch after posting 36 runs on the scoreboard, she did leave her fans with a reason to celebrate! Mithali Raj and Punam Raut pulled off a 77 runs partnership for the third wicket before India was put under pressure by South Africa at 64/2.
Making India Proud since 1999 👏🙌

Mithali Raj is just 26 runs short of becoming the first player to score 7000 runs in the ODI format. She has 2364 runs in her bag in the T20I format and 634 runs from her test matches.
Apart from the 10,000 Intl. runs, here are some other major achievements by the legendary player Mithali Raj:
Ø She is the leading run-scorer in Women ODIs, and the one and only woman cricketer to have scored 6000+ career runs
Ø She has the second most number of fifties to her name, among the current Indian cricketers- both male and female.
Ø She is the only female cricketer to have played for 2 decades
Ø The youngest player to hit a ton, at the age of 16 years and 205 days
Ø She holds the record for appearing the maximum number of times in Women’s International.
Ø She is the only player to have captained her side for the most number of times that being 134* as she continues to lead her ODI Team.

No doubt she is one of the finest players to have represented India and bring glory to the team and the country.
