The 33-year-old struck a fluent 122 off 110 balls, reaching her hundred in just 97 deliveries, the fastest century ever scored by a Pakistani woman in ODIs. Her elegant knock, laced with 13 boundaries, came during Pakistan’s rain-curtailed run chase of a revised 313 in 46 overs against South Africa in the 2nd ODI at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on 19th September 2025. Despite her brilliance, Pakistan fell short by 25 runs, conceding the three-match series 2-0 with a game to spare.

Sidra Amin has built a deep legacy at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, a venue that has transformed into her fortress of dominance. The right-hander now boasts three centuries at this iconic ground—the joint-most by any batter in Women’s ODIs at a single venue.

Across just nine innings at Lahore, she averages a staggering 121 with the bat, amassing 726 runs that include four fifties and three hundreds. Remarkably, her latest effort followed an unbeaten 121 off 150 balls in the series opener, where she held Pakistan’s innings together in setting 255/4.

Since the 2022 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Sidra has blossomed into one of the most consistent performers at the top level. With five centuries in just 31 post-World Cup innings, she stands fourth on the global list for most hundreds in this period, a testament to her ability to anchor and accelerate in equal measure. Known for her classic stroke play and strength through the offside, she has become the cornerstone of Pakistan’s batting, carrying the team’s fortunes on her shoulders against the world’s top attacks.

Making her ODI debut in April 2011 against Sri Lanka, Sidra Amin’s journey has been one of patience, perseverance, and transformation. In 74 innings, she has accumulated 2,221 runs at an average of 32.18 and a strike rate of 64, with 11 fifties and six centuries to her name. Among those hundreds, one innings stands tall, her unbeaten 176 off 151 balls against Ireland in Lahore in November 2022.

That majestic knock, decorated with 20 boundaries and a six, propelled Pakistan to 335/3, their highest ODI total, and delivered a 128-run win. Fittingly, Sidra’s performance earned her the Player of the Match award, symbolizing her growth into Pakistan’s batting anchor.

Though Pakistan conceded the current South Africa series, Sidra’s form is the brightest positive ahead of the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, which begins on 30th September in India and Sri Lanka. For Fatima Sana’s side, the experienced top-order batter will be central to Pakistan’s batting plans when they open their campaign on 2nd October in Colombo against Bangladesh, led by Nigar Sultana Joty.

With her ability to build long innings and perform under pressure, Pakistan will hope Sidra Amin continues her purple patch in cricket’s premier tournament.

Fourteen years after debuting, Sidra Amin is showcasing her peak batting form just as Pakistan approaches the biggest cricketing stage. Her back-to-back centuries, highlighted by the fastest ton by a Pakistani woman in ODIs, mark a milestone not just for her own career but for Pakistan women’s cricket. A player once known for her patient temperament has now evolved into a record-setting run machine with possibly more history to script in the weeks ahead.
