Netizens react to Shafali Verma’s Record-Breaking Double Century in Test

In the ongoing one-off Test between India and South Africa, Shafali Verma broke records by registering the fastest-ever double hundred in Women’s Test cricket, reaching the 200 mark in 194 balls. She surpassed the previous record held by Annabel Sutherland, set in February 2024.
Shafali Verma notched up her maiden Test double century in the one-off Test against South Africa at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. After reaching her century in 113 balls, she accelerated, scoring the fastest-ever Test 150 in 158 balls and then the fastest 200 overall. She smashed a total of 22 boundaries and 8 maximums, maintaining a strike rate of 103.09, and reached the mark in 194 balls.
