The Indian women’s cricket team, under the leadership of skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, is hosting South Africa for a multi-format series from June 16 to July 9. In the recently concluded three-match One Day International (ODI) series, India swept the series 3-0. Smriti Mandhana was named the Player of the Series for her exceptional performances.
During this series, Smriti Mandhana became the second-highest run-scorer for India in ODIs, accumulating 3,585 runs, just behind former captain Mithali Raj, who has scored 7,805 runs in 232 ODI matches.
Mandhana made her ODI debut against Bangladesh during the Bangladesh tour of India in Ahmedabad on April 10, 2013. To date, she has played 85 ODI matches, scoring a total of 3,585 runs with an average of 45.1, and claimed her maiden wicket against South Africa on June 19, 2024.

Mandhana has scored a total of seven centuries, with 136 runs against South Africa being her personal best and also the highest ODI score for India against the Proteas. She is the first Indian to score consecutive centuries, achieved in this series against South Africa, with 117 runs off 127 deliveries in the 1st ODI and 136 runs off 120 balls in the 2nd ODI. She is also the youngest to score 7,000 international runs and the second Indian to do so.
This South Africa vs. India series features three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Following the ODI series, the teams will compete in a one-off, four-day red-ball Test match and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), all in Chennai.
