Players to watch out:
Uma Chetry
The 21-year-old keeper-batter accumulated 115 runs from 6 outings in the Senior Women’s T20 (SWT20). Uma is a very promising keeper-batter and glimpses of the same were on display in the Inter Zonals opener, where she scored a crucial 25-ball 25. She’ll be banked on to carry forward this momentum.
Saika Ishaque
The 28-year-old off-spinner had a stellar run in the SWT20, finishing at the top of the wickets column with 18 to her name from 9 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 4.22. Continuing the momentum, Saika produced figures of 2/17 in the Inter Zonals opener and will be relied upon for match-winning performances.
Purnimaya Guruny
The all-rounder had a decent campaign in the SWT20, notching up a 34 in one of her recent games while consistently contributing with the ball. In the Inter Zonals opener, while Purnimaya departed for 1(14), she compensated with the ball, returning figures of 1/30. The teams must continue to invest in her.
Haorungbam Kiranbala Chanu
Kiranbala Chanu signed off her quiet SWT20 campaign on a high with figures of 3/13 against a decent batting unit of Goa. She has picked up from where she last left in the SWT20, recording figures of 2/21 in the Inter Zonals opener, and will be trusted to provide breakthroughs.
Pitch:
The slow-natured center wicket at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium poses a challenge for batters to score with ease, and the modest average score of 102 at this venue attests to this fact. Bowlers, particularly spinners, play a crucial role in dictating the game’s outcome.
Weather:
The conditions at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium are forecasted to be pleasant for the game, with cloudy overhead and a minimal chance of rain. The temperature is expected to be around 26°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 56%.
Fantasy playing XI:
