Players to watch out:
The 16-year-old promising batting all-rounder has struggled to convert her starts this season. Davina, in 6 outings, has scored 62 runs and lost her place in the middle order. She hadn’t had a bat in the previous couple of outings and would want to get one good outing under her belt to regain her place back in the middle order.
The 25-year-old pacer has had a good season, scalping 7 wickets in 5 innings, and also has been handy with the bat, contributing 23 runs in 3 outings. Emily hasn’t yet featured in the 2nd leg fixtures; however, is in form having been among runs and wickets during the T20 competition.
Dane van Niekerk
The 30-year-old South African all-rounder retired with 2175 runs and 138 wickets to her name from 107 matches in One-Day Internationals. Dane put aside her poor run of form, scoring a fine 44 and taking a wicket in the Sunrisers’ most recent outing.
The 26-year-old all-rounder didn’t have a good first leg of the One-Day competition, scoring just 52 runs in 4 innings and also taking a wicket. Despite a good run in the T20 tournament, Gardner awaits her return in the One-Day setup, banking on a successful T20 season.
The wicket at the County Ground, New Road, Worcester caters to both batters and bowlers. Although it is a batting-friendly surface, the average score
at the venue remains in the 210s, indicating assistance for bowlers, especially spinners.
Expect interruptions throughout the game, particularly after a couple of hours of play, as there are showers predicted on the radar. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 16°C with moderate winds and a humidity level of 88%.
