Namibia Women and Uganda Women produced a thrilling finish in Match 3 of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series in Namibia 2026, with the match ending in a tie after both teams scored 123 runs from their 20 overs. The match was close from start to finish. Uganda won the toss and chose to field, restricting Namibia to 123/7. However, Uganda also finished their 20 overs on 123/7, sending the game into a Super Over and setting up a dramatic finish.
Namibia made a steady start with the bat but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Captain Sune Wittmann scored 24 from 24 balls, while Kayleen Green and Mekelaye Mwatile were dismissed cheaply. Edelle Van Zyl then scored 13, but Namibia found themselves in trouble at 56/4 after 12.2 overs.
Jurriene Diergaardt then played an important innings to give the Namibia batting line-up some stability. She scored 36 from 33 balls and hit four boundaries. However, it was the late hitting from Wilka Mwatile and Sylvia Shihepo that helped Namibia finish with a competitive score.
Wilka played a quick innings of 22 from just 14 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. Shihepo also provided a strong finish, remaining unbeaten on 17 from 10 deliveries with two fours and a six. Their late contributions helped Namibia reach 123/7 in their 20 overs.

Prosscovia Alako played the most important innings for Uganda, scoring 44 from 39 balls with six fours and one six. Rita Musamali added 17 from 16 balls, while Esther Iloku scored nine from seven deliveries.
As the match moved towards the final overs, the pressure continued to increase. Uganda needed to stay calm, but Namibia refused to give up and kept fighting until the final ball. Namibia reached 13/0 in the Super Over to complete a two-wicket victory.
The result gave Namibia a memorable win after the two teams could not be separated across 40 overs of regular cricket. Both sides finished on exactly 123 runs, but Namibia showed greater composure when the match went into the Super Over.
The victory also highlighted the importance of Namibia’s late batting effort and Wilka Mwatile’s powerful hitting. After scoring 22 runs in the main innings, she returned in the Super Over and produced the match-winning performance for her team.
For Uganda, Prosscovia Alako’s 44 and Sarah Walaza’s excellent three-wicket spell were among the biggest positives. However, despite taking the match all the way to a Super Over, Uganda could not complete the job.
