Yastika Bhatia

The 23-year-old keeper-batter, from 25 ODI innings, has accumulated 619 runs at an average of 24.76, with a highest score of 64. An injury had ruled Yastika out of the home series against South Africa, and upon her return, she scored 24 runs in a warm-up game. In this series opener, she scored a mature 43-ball 37 and will hopefully capitalize on this momentum, leading the scoring.

Deepti Sharma

The 27-year-old all-rounder, in ODIs, has amassed 2060 runs from 79 innings at an average of 35.51 and has scalped 107 wickets from 90 outings at an economy rate of 4.13, with best figures of 188 and 6/20. Deepti stepped up with an important 41 runs and returned bowling figures of 1/35 in the 1st ODI and can be relied upon for another all-round effort, extending this form.

Georgia Plimmer

The 20-year-old opening batter, from 15 ODI innings, has added 176 runs and recorded a highest score of 29. Georgia has been in great touch leading up to this series, with scores of 53, 34, 53, 17, and 33 in her recent Twenty20 International (T20I) outings. Continuing her form, she scored 25 runs in this series opener and should be backed to convert this start into a big score.

Eden Carson

The 23-year-old off-spinner, from 9 ODI innings, has picked up 8 wickets, including a best of 3/31, maintaining an economy rate of 5.07. Eden picked up 9 wickets from 6 T20I outings in the recently concluded World Cup, and, building on the momentum, produced figures of 2/42 in this series opener. Her knack for picking wickets should see her produce key breakthroughs.

Pitch:

The center wicket at the Narendra Modi Stadium presents challenges for batters due to its slow and spin-friendly nature, leading to an average score in the 220s. Batters who have spent sufficient time in the middle benefit, as scoring becomes easier.
