Uganda skipper Janet Mbabazi won the toss and opted to bat first in the final against the Chiedza Dhururu-led side. Uganda got off to a horrible start as they lost their top order, including the wicket of their skipper Janet Mbabazi inside the powerplay. Prosscovia Alako joined opening batter Immaculate Nakisuuyi at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 14-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Olinder Chare picked up the wicket of Immaculate Nakisuuyi to provide the 4th breakthrough for Zimbabwe A.

Rita Musamali joined Prosscovia Alako at the crease and the duo stitched another crucial 29-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Loryn Phiri picked up the wicket of Prosscovia Alako to provide the much-needed breakthrough for her side. Uganda eventually ended up with a total of 80/8 in their quota of overs. Prosscovia Alako (24 off 26 balls), Ritu Musamali (15 off 17 balls), and Malisa Ariokot (10 off 16 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Uganda.

Christine Mutasa (3-0-7-2), Kudzai Chigora (3-0-9-2), Kelis Ndhlovu (4-1-18-1), and Loryn Phiri (4-0-14-1) were the top performers with the ball for the Zimbabwe A. Chasing a target of 81, the Zimbabwe A, much-like Uganda, got off to a poor start in the run chase losing their top-order inside the powerplay.

Loryn Phiri joined skipper Chiedza Dhururu at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 48-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Concy Aweko provided a crucial breakthrough for Uganda. The middle order failed to capitalize on the platform provided by the duo of Loryn Phiri and skipper Chiedza Dhururu as they were eventually bundled out for 78 in their quota of overs. Zimbabwe A fell short of the target by two runs.
