Players to watch out:

Laura Mophakedi

25-year-old right-handed batter Mophakedi has been on the rise in recent years. Getting off to good starts is her thing, but continuing to show grit on the crease to make it big is what she has lacked at times. With 376 runs on the international stage and an improving batting index, Botswana will rely on her for quick run-making at the top of the order.

Shameelah Mosweu

Prominent all-rounder Shameelah is known for her valuable contributions both with the bat and her prized off-spinning abilities. Her bowling average is massive at just 16.50. She scalped (2/11) against Rwanda in match number two of the tournament at an economy of just 2.75 and got out for 5 (18) at the top of the order.

Salome Sunday

With runs in excess of 600 on the big stage, Sunday comes into the Kwibuka tournament with fine knocks in the recent past which she’ll look to carry forward. In the recently concluded Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s T20I Tournament her scores of (48*), (29), and (27*) added substance to the batting order by giving shape to the batting order.

Agatha Obulor

28-year-old Agatha encompasses fine all-around abilities. Her contributions add immense value to the team, with a bowling average of just 14.72. And her batting contributions lower down the order go on to make the difference between the sides. She will be on the look for runs, as they have been stringent to come by.

Pitch:

A well-balanced track with a slight advantage for the batters. But it’s only a matter of hitting the right lengths for the bowlers and restricting their counterparts to a lower total.

Weather:

Comfortable playing conditions are forecasted, with temperatures hovering around mid-20 degrees and no possible chance of rain. Although it will remain overcast for a major part of the day.
