Rebecca Stokell, Amy Hunter Star as Ireland Women Chase Down 177 to Hand Pakistan Second Straight Defeat

Ireland Women registered a seven-wicket win over Pakistan Women in the third match of the Ireland Women’s Tri-Nation T20I Series 2026 in Dublin. The win gave Ireland their first victory of the tournament after losing their opening match against West Indies Women.

Pakistan Women won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 176 for 6 in their 20 overs with several batters making useful contributions.

Muneeba Ali was the top scorer with 65 runs from 41 balls, including eight fours and three sixes. Fellow opener Gull Feroza gave Pakistan a fast start with 32 from 15 balls, while Saira Jabeen added 36 from 33 deliveries.

Captain Fatima Sana also chipped in with an useful 21 runs from 14 balls as Pakistan reached a strong total. For Ireland Women, Ava Canning was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets for 35 runs. Alana Dalzell, Arlene Kelly and Orla Prendergast took one wicket each.

Chasing 177, Ireland Women batted positively from the start and stayed in control of the chase.

Amy Hunter gave Ireland a strong start with 56 runs from 44 balls, hitting seven fours and one six. After she got out, Rebecca Stokell and captain Orla Prendergast kept Ireland moving towards the target.

Stokell stayed unbeaten on 60 from 42 balls and hit seven fours. Prendergast made a quick 33 from only 17 balls, including six boundaries. Their partnership helped Ireland move close to victory before Leah Paul finished the chase. Ireland reached 177 for 3 in 19.1 overs and won with five balls remaining.

Rebecca Stokell was named Player of the Match for her unbeaten half-century. The result also improved Ireland’s position in the series. The tournament began with West Indies Women beating Ireland Women by eight wickets. West Indies then defeated Pakistan Women by 25 runs in the second match.

Ireland bounced back with this win over Pakistan and later recorded a dramatic one-run victory over West Indies through the DLS method in the fourth match.

After four matches, West Indies Women and Ireland Women both have four points with two wins each. West Indies remain at the top of the table because of a better net run rate, while Ireland are second. Pakistan Women are still searching for their first win after losing both of their matches and currently sit at the bottom of the standings.
