This would be the first time team India will take the field after that dramatic and heart-breaking loss against South Africa in the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022. A lot has happened since then. The veteran Mithali Raj retired from all forms of international cricket earlier this month on 8th June and that led to Harmanpreet Kaur being promoted for the ODI Captaincy, and Smriti Mandhana promoted as the vice-captain of India’s ODI side. The fans are eager to watch the new captain Harmanpreet Kaur and how her comrades perform on Sri-Lankan soil.
