18-year-old Richa Ghosh scripted history by scoring Fastest fifty in Women’s ODIs in just 26 Balls.
In the 4th ODI played against New Zealand, Richa Ghosh scored 52 Runs in 29 Balls and in the process ended up surpassing Veda Krishnamurthy’s previous best of 32 Ball Fifty.

Richa Ghosh came in to bat when India were struggling at 19/4. She later stitched a 77 Run partnership with Mithali Raj for the 5th Wicket.
Batting first, New Zealand scored a mammoth 191 Runs in a rain-curtailed ODI Match that saw 20 overs being bowled from each of the sides. From New Zealand, Amelia Kerr continued her dominance as she smashed unbeaten 68 Runs off just 33 Balls.
India, chasing, could manage only 128 Runs after they were all out in 17.5 Overs. Hayley Jensen picked 3 Wickets followed by Amelia Kerr’s 3 Wicket in a single over that resulted in a straight 4 ODI loss for the visitors.
The 5th and Final ODI will be played on 24th February, Thursday.
