West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews is on a comeback after serving her 8 match suspension for breaching Cricket West-Indies code of conduct, following which she was out of the side for Australia Series including 3 ODI’s and 3 T20’s. She will be available from 3rd ODI against India held in the Caribbean. Hosts are set to play India for 3-ODI’s and 5-T20’s.
Hayley hails from Barbados and made her debut for the Barbadian cricket team at the mere age of 12. Her international debut for the West Indies came at the age of 16, in a Twenty20 International against New Zealand in 2014. She has also represented Barbados in the javelin throw at several international track and field competitions. Other than playing for West Indies, Matthews has featured in the 2015–16 season’s domestic cricket in Australia, representing the Tasmanian Roar in the Women’s National Cricket League and the Hobart Hurricanes in the inaugural season of the Women’s Big Bash League.
West Indies will be facing India from 1st November in the 1st ODI scheduled to be held at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at Barbadua and Antigua.
